My favorite healthy homemade snack is my homemade bread. They are made with old fashioned oats, honey, fruit and Greek yogurt! You could eat this for breakfast, snack or dessert!! Add in a few dark chocolate chips and you have the most decadent on-the-go snack or delicious dessert. You could top this with all natural peanut butter or organic whipped topping!
Clean Eating Dark Chocolate Banana Bread
- 2 cups old fashioned oats (processed into a flour consistency in the food processor)
- 2 medium bananas (mashed) or 1 cup mashed banana
- 6 oz. plain Greek yogurt
- 4 oz. unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder ( I use Hershey's Special Dark)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Topping: 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients (except for dark chocolate chips) in medium bowl and stir until combined. Place batter in loaf pan sprayed with coconut oil/ olive oil spray.
