Postpartum Update {1 month}

I promise not to bore you guys with postpartum updates all the time but I thought I would just give you guys an update on how things are going.

I wish I could say that I have been eating perfectly and going on mile long walks daily but I can't! I probably eat 80% clean and my exercise has been running around taking care of my 3 kids. Of course I'm not actually cleared for exercise yet. My postpartum appointment is in 2 weeks. There are some days that I barely reach 1200 calories. Not that I'm dieting or restricting calories...I just literally don't have time to eat!! That is something I plan to focus on this week. Trying to focus more on eating every few hours and drinking enough water.

I have 8 lbs to go until my pre-pregnancy weight. My belly is still very soft and I still can't fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I know I will get there! Until then..I will be that Mom that goes to pick up her kid from school in yoga pants and a t-shirt! Ha!

Here are my pics....I don't really feel like much has changed since my 2 week postpartum update:

Taking photos of myself and posting them on the internet never gets easier for me to do. One thing I will say that if you are trying to lose weight ....taking photos is important. For me...seeing pics is the only way that I can gauge my progress. The scales aren't the only way to see if your body is changing! Taking pictures and measurements is a great way to keep track of your progress!!

Hoping to start cooking more, planning my meals out, drinking more water and eating nutritious meals every few hours this week!! Who's with me?

  1. Hi there! Just wanted to thank you for having this blog and posting pics such as these. I am new to your blog, as in 24 hours new, after I found you on Pinterest. I am 31 weeks pregnant with my very first child and I was searching for clean eating recipes while pregnant. I have already gone to the grocery after reading several of your posts and grabbed Larabars, organic gala apples, almond butter and etc. What's funny is I used to eat fairly healthy....and then I got pregnant and it's like my brain and appetite for healthy food went out the window all at the same time. I feel like I'm having to train myself all over again how to eat better. It's a weird feeling, but I'm so glad I have found your blog to help me out.
    And thanks for posting these honest, real pics. I like to know what I can expect after baby. :)
    Wishing you all the best with your goals and balancing life with 3 kids. I'll be reading from now on!
