I got a really great question last night on my facebook page. How did I get started with Clean Eating? Well it all started January 2013....I was celebrating my baby boys 1st birthday. I remember feeling like I was still holding on to the baby weight and I was tired of the way my clothes were looking/fitting. I was probably only 5-8 lbs. from my pre-pregnancy weight but it was just enough that my pre-pregnancy clothes still didn't fit quite right.
I knew that something needed to change. I had very little energy and I consumed very little calories. I pretty much lost the majority of my baby weight by restricting my calories and trying to eat "healthier." I felt awful. I was sluggish all the time. I had read a few blogs about "clean eating" and decided to learn a little bit more about it. I got the "Eat Clean Diet" book by Tosca Reno and I committed to starting the 90 day Bikini Body Mommy challenge.
This is when my entire life changed. I changed my entire diet and I ate quite a bit more than I was used to. I started the workout challenge that next Monday and the rest is history! I ended up doing 2 Bikini Body Mommy Challenges, adding in weight training with Chalean Extreme later on in the year, lost all of my baby weight PLUS 10 more lbs!! My eating has forever changed. I love knowing that everything that I put in my body is nourishing instead of polluting!
