{Clean Eating Chocolate Covered Banana Dippers}

Confession.....my kids love those Dole Banana Dippers things! Have you heard of them? My Mom brings over a box every time she comes over. My kids think this is a nice "ice cream" like treat. Although I think you could buy much worse....I still wanted to come up with my own healthier version with things that I always have in my pantry! Let's just say this plate was cleaned in seconds!!

Clean Eating Chocolate Covered Banana Dippers
  • 1/4 cup organic coconut oil (in liquid form)
  • 1 tbsp. dark cocoa powder
  • 1 packet Stevia or 4-6 liquid stevia drops (You can use honey but I find it doesn't mix as well)
  • 1 frozen banana (diced in "coins" before frozen)

Add oil, cocoa powder and stevia in a small bowl or mug. Add banana "coins" one at a time to the mixture. Using a fork make sure each banana is coated well and allow excess to drip off before placing onto a plate to harden.

Eat right away or freeze in airtight container.

** My kids LOVE these. You could always add chopped peanuts or almonds before they harden. Diced frozen strawberries or pineapple also work well.

***You could always pour this chocolate mixture over a bowl of organic ice cream to give you that "shell" effect!

Devour! :)
