1. Banana Almond Butter Wrap
I first saw this on the The Gracious Pantry or maybe one of my Eat Clean Diet books...either way...It is my go-to for lunch. I love it and it is fast!!! I eat this almost every day for lunch. I use a whole grain wrap (check the ingredients), 1 tbsp. almond butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon and 1 small banana.
2. Asian Rice Bowl
So fast and it has one of my all time favorite ingredients...AVOCADO! Love it! Love it plain or mixed in ANYTHING!!
3. Chicken Avocado Salad or Avocado Egg Salad
Once again....add avocado to anything and I will LOVE IT! These are great salads to add to a whole grain pita pocket, smear on Ezekiel toast, eat in a lettuce wrap or top your salad greens! My kids also love both of these!
4. Breakfast for lunch: Protein Pancakes
Like I said....I love breakfast!! So much that sometimes I eat "breakfast" foods twice in one day! There is no rule that says you can't so DO IT! Protein pancakes or Ezekiel toast with almond butter and scrambled eggs/egg whites are my 2 favorites to eat for lunch!
5. Protein Shake/Smoothie
If I am in a pinch for time and I want something cold and filling....I will mix up a protein shake! They are great to drink while driving or slurp down while I am running after my two crazies! They keep me full until snack time!
Check out my Recipes Tab for all my smoothie/protein shake recipes!
Hi - just curious, what whole grain wraps do you use? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI usually get Trader Joe's whole grain wraps or La tortilla low carb wraps.
DeleteAny wrap that is whole grain or 100% wheat. You can't go wrong. I use flat out multi-grain with flax only has 100 calories, high fiber and only 9grams of protein. It taste so delicious you can put pieces of chicken with green leafy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite among them is the Asian rice bowl! For me, it’s already a complete meal. Not to mention that it has the nutrients your body needs, to be able to work the whole day. And you can always add some meat chunks for your meat-loving friends. Cheers!
