These are great on days that you are short on time but want something filling and yummy to start your day. I use the 6 minutes these are in the microwave to prepare my kids breakfast! By the way...kids love these too!
Microwave PB Banana Oatmeal
serves 1
serves 1
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 cup unsweetened almond coconut milk (I use the dry measuring cup to measure this because it is already out and I am lazy like that!)
- Dash or two of cinnamon
Toppings:
- Drizzle of honey or real maple syrup
- 1 tbsp. organic crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 banana (sliced)
Add ingredients to large bowl. (These will bubble over if you don't use a large bowl). Microwave for 6-7 minutes. Stir and add desired toppings!
**My 3 year old loves when I add about 1/2 tablespoon of dark cocoa powder to his and he calls it Chocolate oatmeal. This is his favorite breakfast!

OMG, so yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks so good! For my version, I like to take half a banana and add it into the oatmeal to cook. Then, I slice the other half to put on top. I also put the peanut butter on top instead of inside the oatmeal. Trust me, this makes all the difference! The peanut butter flavour truly comes out when it melts on the oatmeal. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about peanut butter as a topping! So good! I may have to mix a little banana in next time before I cook it! Yum!! :)
DeleteYum! You can never go wrong with oats!
