No Guilt Mocha Frap Protein Shake

I LOVE Starbucks Frappuccinos! Love them. Love everything about them. Well almost. :) Actually they have a lot of added sugar and artificial ingredients in them.  Although I don't look down on anyone who has the occasional artificially flavored Starbucks drink because they are a delicious treat every now and then! The only problem is that I want one everyday!! Well....Now you can!!! I made a delicious and super easy protein smoothie with lots of mocha goodness!! Gives you that extra pep in your step!! We all need a little bit of that...Right??



No Guilt Mocha Frap Protein Shake

{Serves 1} 
  • 1 cup milk of choice (I used Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used Designer Whey)
  • 1 tsp. instant espresso powder
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 5-10 ice cubes
  • Stevia drops to taste (Or stevia packet)
  • pinch of xanthan gum (optional)
Topping:
  • 1 tbsp. Organic whipped topping or Truwhip (I used Trader Joe's House Whip)
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)
Combine espresso powder and water in small bowl and stir to combine. Place milk, protein powder, espresso/water mixture, stevia and ice cubes into blender and pulse to combine. Add a pinch of xanthan gum and pulse again to incorporate. Pour into glass and top with organic whipped topping and dark chocolate shavings.
