Banana Almond Butter Green Monster Smoothie

I love Green Monster smoothies!! I have made them 100 different ways. You can find a million different recipes online for this famous shake! After posting pics on instagram of my spinach or kale smoothies, I have had a lot of people ask me "What exactly do you put in your green smoothie?" So I am going to tell you my all time favorite way to drink these delicious and ridiculously healthy shakes! First thing that you need to know is that YOU DO NOT taste the spinach!! It takes like a banana peanut butter shake that has hundreds of calories and is terrible for you! Trust me!! This smoothie is around 240 calories with 13 grams of protein and good healthy fats! Try it!!

Banana Almond Butter Green Monster Smoothie
  • 3/4 cup organic skim milk (or unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
  • 1 cup of baby spinach leaves
  • 1 tbsp. almond butter  (only ingredient should be almonds)
  • 1 tbsp. flax seed meal
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 5-10 ice cubes
  • 4 drops of stevia liquid (optional)

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

ENJOY!! :) Please try it and tell me what you think!
