{Peachy Green Protein Shake}

Happy Monday!!!

I have been LOVING my protein shakes these days. I feel my best when I pack my day full of as many fruits, veggies and protein as I can. Protein shakes are just way too convenient. I can mix one up in a matter of minutes and drink it while I am playing with my kids or feeding them.

I have been trying to bump up protein intake for the last few months. Protein is important because it helps build lean muscle, curbs hunger and reduces my cravings throughout the day.

In this yummy shake I have added mango, peaches, spinach and avocado to give you tons of nutrients in one delicious drink! Oh and just in case you are worried...you can not taste the spinach or the avocado. It is a creamy, fruity and delicious shake!! Super refreshing on a hot day!!

Peachy Green Protein Shake

serves: 1

1 cup unsweetened coconut almond milk (any milk will work)
1 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1/2 cup frozen peach slices
1/2 small avocado (or 1/4 of a large)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use MRM all natural Rich Vanilla)

Add ingredients to blender. Blend until smooth.

ENJOY!! :)

{Clean Eating Peach Ginger Bread}

I have fallen in love with these oatmeal breads this summer!! They are great cold, right out of the refrigerator. That is actually how I prefer them! These breads are great paired with an apple if you are on the go or with some scrambled eggs if you have the time! I always find some way to get my oats in every morning. I have seen such a huge difference in my cholesterol and over all health since starting adding oats into my life!!

This is a family favorite around my house! I hope you love it!

Clean Eating Peach Oatmeal Bread

  • 2 medium peaches (diced)
  • 2 tsp. fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp. ground ginger)
  • 2 cups oats (ground into flour in food processor)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup organic honey
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Greek Vanilla Non-fat yogurt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 organic eggs
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine all ingredients in medium bowl. Mix thoroughly. Pour into loaf pan that has been sprayed with coconut oil/olive oil spray.

**You can sprinkle with oats at this point if you want to make it pretty! :)

Bake for 45-55 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean and bread is cooked through.

**All ovens vary a little...start checking around 40 minutes :)
