{Clean Eating Pear Crumble}

Want a quick and healthy dessert?? I have one for you! This is super easy and super delicious! Last week, my kids and I, went to visit my Mom. She only lives 5 minutes away luckily! We went for a walk and went to check on the pears on the family's pear tree. My Grandma has been canning these pears for pear preserves but luckily there were a few left that we could reach! My daughter got a big kick out of picking these pears! There were huge and sweet!

Gorgeous right?

She was so excited!!

When we got home...I knew I wanted to make something with these lovely pears....so this is what I made! It was a huge hit!

Clean Eating Pear Crumble
  • 1/2 cup oats (I used old fashioned oats)
  • 1/4 cup organic Sucanat (any organic unrefined sugar will work)
  • 2 tbsp. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 3 pears (medium to large size) **diced into cubes
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • coconut or olive oil cooking spray
  • organic whipped topping, TruWhip or Organic Vanilla Ice Cream for topping (if desired)
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine oats, Sucanat, four, salt, cinnamon and coconut oil and mix well. I used my hands for this.

Place diced pears in a 2 1/2 qt. dish that has been sprayed with coconut oil/olive oil spray. Drizzle with lemon juice and stir to combine. Add crumble topping. Spray the top with cooking spray.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until pears are fork tender and topping is golden brown.

Add desired topping and DEVOUR!! :)

  2. That looks delicious. And, so fun that the pears are from a family tree.

  3. We don't eat a lot of pears around here for some reason. I like them I just never seem to buy them. I'd say our favorite way to eat them is in a salad with blue cheese and candied pecans. Yum!

  4. I made this for a groups of 9 (5 of which were kids) and the kids were begging for more. Little did they know... Thanks for the awesome recipe! The coconut oil really does excellently here.

  5. 3 Researches SHOW How Coconut Oil Kills Waist Fat.

This means that you literally kill fat by consuming coconut fats (including coconut milk, coconut cream and coconut oil).

These 3 studies from large medical journals are sure to turn the traditional nutrition world upside down!
