{What I Ate Wednesday} 9/23/15

Happy Wednesday!!!

Hope you all are having a great week!

This past weekend my husband and I started on a DIY project that I am pretty excited about. When we moved into our house...I knew that I really wanted a fireplace/mantel/bookshelf built-in but wasn't sure how soon we would tackle that large of a project. Well...now is the time. We are full on project-mode!! I will definitely post pics of the before/after!! Hopefully it won't take us 6 months to finish.

Now on to my eats....

Breakfast: Meal Prep Steel cut Oatmeal with frozen blueberries and maple syrup with a couple scrambled eggs and black coffee.

Post-Workout: Meal Prepped Smoothie pack (ingredients for Strawberry Banana post-workout Smoothie) with unsweetened Almond Coconut milk because I was out of coconut water.

**FYI: For my workout I did Tracy Anderson 15 minute dance cardio, Booty Barre 10 minute workout and 10 minute Standing abs by Melissa Bender. All of these can be found on my Pinterest Fitness board. :) Let me know if you do one of them and if you loved it as much as I did!

Lunch: Banana Wrap These aren't my usual Whole wheat low carb La Tortilla wraps...the store was out so these are La Tortilla Low Carb. flour tortillas with crunchy all natural peanut butter and cinnamon. I also had a few grapes on the side.

Snack: Green tea with lemon (Forgot to snap a pic)

Dinner: Same as last night because it is so easy and so yummy! Baked Pesto and Cheese Chicken with smashed sweet potato and avocado.

After dinner: Chamomile tea and a Chocolate Banana Mug Cake! YUM! No worries...I will share the recipe on Monday. In the meantime....try out my Pumpkin mug cake...it is pretty awesome!

So tell me....

What workout are you doing today???

 Favorite meals lately??

  1. Ashley, I think you and I are similar in a lot of ways :) Just felt I should tell you this. haha I love all your recipes. Everything I have tried that you have shared, I love! We have very similar taste it appears. This morning I wanted to make oatmeal, and everything I make it, I have to look up on your website how you do it, because how you make yours is the ONLY way I like it. I never liked oatmeal until I tried your ways. So thank you. haha I recently made the banana wrap that you always eat, and loved it! I really didn't think I would, but I did. And I'm craving your clean eating meatloaf again. I haven't made it in a while.

I also love home decor. It's something I loved as a kid. While other kids were picking out toys from the Sears catalog that they wanted for Christmas, I was picking out new bedspreads and curtains and asking my mom if I could paint my room like the one in the photo. haha

Keep up the work, because you have a fan in me. haha :)

    2. Sure!! ;) So glad I made your day! I think we are a lot alike in a lot of other ways too, but I just narrowed it down to those two. haha

I will say though, you are way more disciplined than I am. I admire that. I lack discipline in eating healthy and exercising. I had my daughter 9 months ago, and haven't worked out at all since her arrival. And I cave for convenience over cooking healthy at home. I was excited when you told me about Harris Teeter doing the online grocery shopping because that's usually where I fail, the shopping part. But sadly found out none of the HT's in Tennessee do online shopping. :(

      Anyway, yes! BFFs! :) haha

    3. Don't be so hard on yourself! My middle son was over 1 before I started eating clean and exercising! Every baby step counts! :)

  2. 3 Researches SHOW How Coconut Oil Kills Waist Fat.

This means that you literally get rid of fat by consuming coconut fat (in addition to coconut milk, coconut cream and coconut oil).

These 3 studies from major medicinal journals are sure to turn the conventional nutrition world upside down!
