{Clean Eating Spiced Pecans}

One of my favorite treats around this time of year is my Mom's sugared pecans! They are crunchy and sweet. I decided to make my own version and add a little spice to the mix! I used maple syrup in place of the sugar and they had the perfect amount of sweetness!! A great snack and the perfect gift! Just add these to a mason jar with a cute ribbon! Your friend or neighbor will surely thank you!!

Clean Eating Spiced Pecans
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 1/2 cups pecan halves
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Add egg whites to a bowl and using an electric mixer, whip until stiff peaks form. Slowly drizzle maple syrup and add pumpkin pie spice. Mix just until incorporated. Fold in pecan halves.

Pour on to a baking sheet that has been lined with aluminum foil and sprayed with olive oil/coconut oil spray.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned, stirring every 5 minutes or so.

Store in airtight container.
