Happy Monday Everyone!!
Instead of my usual {Meal Planning Monday} post I wanted to take a minute and confess to you guys. So I feel like I have kind of fallen off the fitness wagon. Life got crazy and one thing had to be taken out of my day and workouts just happen to move to the bottom of my priority list. If you guys saw my last {Fitness Update} you know that I was doing Focus T25 and Chalean Extreme. I love them both but haven't done either one in the past couple weeks. I miss working out and miss the energy that it provides me with!! I am ready to add fitness back into my life but this time.....I am switching it up!
I get bored very easily so after a month and a half of the same kind of thing...I feel like I need a new fitness plan. I am a HUGE fan of Pinterest and have used it as a place to pin short workout routines that have been a great go-to when I don't have a lot of time. I thought that this time around I would pick workouts that I thought would be fun and commit to doing them for a couple weeks at a time. Eventually I will find what works well for my body and that I enjoy so much that I don't get bored!!
Two of the 10 minute workouts that I have done in the past and really enjoyed are Yogalosophy and Tracy Anderson's video's. Yogalosophy is a toning yoga from Jennifer Aniston's trainer. Yoga is fairly new to me so I am super excited to give this a try! Tracy Anderson is also a celebrity trainer. She tones using very light weights. This will be a big change for me as well. I am really hoping to start seeing some changes in my body!! I feel like I have been on the longest plateau ever!! Time for a huge change and that is what I am doing!
Even though bikini season is officially over...I don't want to start gaining back the weight that I have lost. I just don't plan on doing anything super intense or crazy and I plan on enjoying myself. This is such a fun time of year and I want to feel my best and look my best going into the holiday season! My plan is to workout at least 4 times a week.....No excuses!!
So who is with me??
I recommend that you find a couple workout videos (if you are working out at home) or start back going to the gym! Just because we get to wear large comfy sweaters now doesn't mean you need to gain weight and not feel your best!!
It is so hard to start back once you have fallen off track but pick and day and commit!! Make it fun!! Pick workouts that you enjoy!! Take some time out of your day FOR YOU!!
Although I have been eating fairly well....I did just get back from a mini-vacation where I may have splurged WAY too much!! I am starting back today eating super clean and super healthy!! It is amazing how much better my body feels when I eat right!!
SO there you have it....I feel better now! Today is my fresh start!!
So tell me....
Anyone tried Yogolosophy or Tracy Anderson's workout videos??
How do you stay on track this time of year?
Favorite at-home workout video?
Today I am starting a mix of Yoga for Indie Rockers and Tracy Anderson's Post Pregnancy video. I also hope to jog a few days a week if the weather is nice. I've been having a hard time finding a routine that works for me.
ReplyDeleteI agree! That has also been my struggle! I want to find something that is enjoyable and that works!! Good luck!! Let me know how it goes!! :)
DeleteI am trying to eat healthy now and workout! Good for you! :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! That is awesome! Good luck!
DeleteI love Tracy Anderson! Her stuff has changed my body more than anything else I have ever tried!
ReplyDeleteThat is great to hear! I have heard great things so I am hoping this will help me tone up! :)
DeleteGreat thought - I'm a big fan of Denise Austin [hard not to feel encouraged and motivated with her on the screen - so positive!] When I feel like I need an extra boost in my fitness, I turn to Jillian Michaels. You can't leave one of her workouts without being drenched in sweat. What else can you ask for?
ReplyDeleteJillian Michaels kicks my butt every time!! :)
DeleteOh gosh I wished I enjoyed yoga, but it's not for me. Well for at least now... lol maybe I'll like it with the more weight I lose? I get bored easily though...lol
ReplyDeleteI was doing good at going to yoga for a few weeks but just got over it. I would love a short yoga video to do first thing in the morning or when I have time. Some mornings I'll wake up and do sun salutations but a video would help to motivate me more. I like creating circuit workouts at home from Pinterest inspiration. That or Insanity! Nikefitness app is great too!
ReplyDeleteThe Yogalosophy has a 35
Deleteminute or 55 minute option. It's a toning yoga so there are push ups and squats mixed in with yoga poses. Let's just say that every inch of my body is sore from the 35 minute video yesterday! The best part was how I felt when I finished it!
I've been having a hard time getting into a healthy workout routine too. But I am totally motivated to get into one. I'm glad I found your blog. I look forward to trying some of your recipes and reading your posts. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you found my blog too! :)
ReplyDeleteYou start with a new fitness routine and extremely love it. But after some time, you get bored and would want to try another routine. This is normal. Aside from getting bored with the same old routine, your body will also get immune to it, making it less effective as well. This is why, switching your routine regularly, or adding something else in between, is ideal. You keep yourself entertained and your body energized at the same time.
