After deciding to change my life and giving up a lot of the processed junk I was putting in my body, I knew that Diet Cokes would have to go! Believe it or not....that was actually way easier than I thought! I started drinking close to a gallon of water a day and I just stopped buying Diet Coke! Now, I was still drinking at least two and sometimes three cups of coffee to get me through! It was a weaning process for sure! Once I didn't miss the Diet Coke, I started on the coffee. I gave up my artificial creamer and replaced it with an "all natural" creamer. I replaced the Splenda with Stevia. Once I could handle that, I switched to using Unsweetened vanilla almond milk in place of the creamer. That was a little bit harder! It is definitely a transition to switch from super sweet, creamy coffee to BLACK! Eventually the almond milk seemed like a waste and I just started drinking my coffee black! Believe it or not.....after a few days of drinking my coffee without creamer or sweetener....I was fine with it!! Actually just living a cleaner life, avoiding processed foods and artificial sweeteners, gives you so much more energy...you won't crave caffeine the same way ever again!
When I need something sweet and carbonated....I reach for a Kombucha. It gives me a boost of energy and that cold carbonation that I love! Kombucha is full of B vitamins, antioxidants and probiotics. It helps to detox your body and build up your immune system! Can anyone tell me the benefits of Diet Coke??? NOPE!! There are none!
