{Chocolate Banana Mug Cake}

Ya'll, this could be really bad. I have had such a sweet tooth lately! I just don't feel right about going to bed unless I have had something sweet! Usually a few dark chocolate chips will do the trick but ever since I made my {Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Mug Cake}.... I can't seem to get these cakes off my mind!

Unfortunately I was out of pumpkin so I needed to come up with another version! This one is SO good! It totally fulfills my chocolate need and it is a single serving so I am not tempted to over do it!

Overall.....these mug cakes are anywhere from 250-300 calories. Not a terrible dessert if you are in the mood! The best part is that you get to control the quality of the ingredients! WAY healthier than any chocolate cake that you could buy at the store!

Chocolate Banana Mug Cake

  • 2 tbsp. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp. dark cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp. mashed banana
  • 1/8th cup organic cane sugar
Add ingredients to a large mug that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Stir well.

Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds or until cake is set.

I like to top mine with Truwhip and sliced banana. I think that organic vanilla ice cream, nut butter, dark chocolate chips or chopped walnuts would also be delicious toppings for your cake! :)

ENJOY!!!

  1. Ashley, what kind of dark cocoa powder do you use? I haven't even looked to see if Hershey's (who I normally use) is clean or not.
