Clean Eating Cinnamon Raisin French toast

Ya'll....this is so good. I may eat this every day from here on out until I can't eat it anymore. I am a huge fan of the cinnamon raisin ezekiel bread but this just took it up another notch!! Try it....for breakfast, brunch or dinner (like I did) and I promise you that you will love it too!

It is so simple....barely a recipe but I had to share anyway! :)

Cinnamon Raisin French Toast

Clean Eating Cinnamon Raisin French Toast
{serves 2}

  • 4 slices of Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel bread
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 organic egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil  {or bacon drippings like I did :)}
  • grass-fed butter
  • real maple syrup
  • fresh berries
  • sliced banana
  • walnuts or pecans (chopped)
  • sprinkled powder stevia
Place milk, egg, vanilla and cinnamon in a bowl and soak each slice of bread in this mixture. Make sure it is coated very well and it is even better to let them sit in this mixture for 15 or 20 minutes. Heat up a non-stick skillet to medium high heat....add coconut oil. Once hot....add each piece of toast and cook a couple minutes per side before flipping. You want it slightly golden brown on each side. 

Add desired toppings! :)
