Let's get to it....What I Ate Wednesday:
Breakfast: Slow Cooker Steel Cut Oatmeal topped with real maple syrup, chopped pecans and organic raisins. This is such a fast and yummy meal for the whole family. I like that I can prep my oats on Sunday and have breakfast for the whole week.
Snack: Strawberry Banana Post Workout Smoothie I did Tone it Up's Frisky Fall Arms and Abs workout and followed it with a cold and yummy shake!
Lunch: Garden Tomato, Spinach and Egg scramble with Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel toast topped with all natural peanut butter and honey It's not a banana wrap...are you shocked?
Snack: Coconut Greek yogurt with strawberries, organic coconut granola and toasted coconut chips Tastes like dessert...I actually licked the bowl. It is that good! I drank some Green tea around this time of day as well.
Dinner: Salsa Turkey (the usual) with mango, avocado and roasted okra. I made brown rice for the kids and hubby. This has been a weekly meal for us for quite a while. It is such a huge hit with my kids. They beg for it.
Before bed: Chamomile honey vanilla tea with a handful of dark chocolate chips (What's life without a little chocolate...am I right?
So, after following your blog for what feels like almost a year now, I just now got around to trying plain greek yogurt with my own added toppings and OMG! YUM! I am not a huge yogurt fan, but would occasionally buy the ones with fruit, but knew it wasn't very "clean". So today, I looked at your blog for snack ideas, went to the store and got plain greek yogurt, then also bought some organic peanut butter granola. (I've never bought granola before.) So I mixed the granola in, added a little honey and yum! Since it's peanut butter flavor, it'd probably be good with banana slices too, but couldn't do that today, but plan to in the future. Thanks again for always sharing clean eating ideas!
