{2 Ingredient Healthy Frozen Yogurt}

I am super obsessed with frozen yogurt. It can't be a healthy habit. I have to have it at least once every weekend. I know that the frozen yogurt you buy isn't actually healthy or "clean." I know there is some strange stuff thrown in there....but I still love it and I still crave it every day of the week. I think it is a great treat every once in a while! I top mine with fresh fruit and sometimes mixed nuts. So good!!

If you are like me....you want frozen yogurt everyday in the summer! It is so hot and there is nothing better than some cold ice cream or frozen yogurt. I found the perfect solution. The other day I pulled out my ice cream maker that had been sitting in my pantry for 2 years and NEVER used!! What was I thinking?? I love this thing!! I found a great idea for a ridiculously simple frozen yogurt that is cheap and delicious!! The best part is that you can do this 1000 ways.

2 Ingredient Healthy Frozen Yogurt

  • 32 oz. flavored organic yogurt **Non-fat or Low-fat  (I have used Stoneyfield and Trader Joes Brand)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen fruit (diced) **I only use about 1/2 cup when using chocolate chips**
Make sure your freezer bowl is completely frozen. Turn on ice cream machine and slowly pour in yogurt. Follow the manufacturers instructions for your ice cream maker. Mine took about 15-20 minutes until it got to frozen yogurt consistency. About 5 minutes before it is finished....add topping of choice.

***You could use plain organic yogurt but you would need to add sweetener. I found that using flavored organic yogurt tasted much better and was super fast and easy! Just make sure you look at the ingredients list of any organic flavored yogurt to make sure that there is nothing strange thrown in. It should be mainly organic milk, organic sugar, organic vanilla and cultures.

Pictured above is my strawberry variation with low fat organic strawberry yogurt with diced strawberries added in.

More variations:

Peach: Non-fat organic french vanilla yogurt with frozen (slightly defrosted) peaches mixed in. I placed the slightly defrosted peaches in the food processor before adding them to the yogurt.

Banana: Organic Vanana Yogurt (Trader Joe's) for frozen yogurt. Dark chocolate chips added after frozen yogurt was finished...just as a topping. You could definitely mix these in though!

Give this a try and let me know what variations you come up with!!! :)
